AntiRanth 2026 Keynote Speaker

D.L. Jennings

David "D. L." Jennings is a fourteen-year veteran of the United States Air Force and Air Force Special Operations Command. Deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan as well as several countries in Africa, he finished writing his debut novel, Gift of the Shaper, while serving on his ninth combat tour. After separating in 2018, he spends his time reading and writing epic fantasy, traveling, listening to '90s punk, and bemoaning being an Ohio sports fan.

He is the author of the HIGHGLADE Series, an epic fantasy trilogy consisting of three books:
Gift of the Shaper (2018), winner of the Beverly Hills Book Awards (Category: Fantasy) and was
a finalist for Best Book Awards (Category: Fantasy); Awaken the Three (2020), Winner of Best Indie Book Award for Epic Fantasy and a finalist for Next Generation Indie Book Awards; and Days of the Dark (2024).

  • Abel Ruiz, COO of Amaranth Publications

    YOUR HOST & EMCEE

When he is not busy trying to make sense of the world, Abel is hard at work  attempting to convince it of his normalcy. He cooks. He does business. He carries titles and certifications. He slaps keyboards and brandishes pens and on occasion finds that something of substance and coherence spills out of his disorganized mind.

An avid community organizer, poet and hype-man. Abel will be leading and overseeing AntiRanth 2026’s schedule of events—introducing presenters and events and guiding conference attendees through their day.

  • V.L. "Vic/Spooky" Andromeda, Owner & CEO of Antimatter Publishing House

    YOUR ORGANIZER & EDITOR

On any given day, Vic can be found at home with their beasties trying to complete tasks for one of their many jobs. By day, a tech writer and college instructor; by night, an author always straddling genres and battling with writer's block. They've been writing for nearly two decades (yes, if you know their age, you did that math right) and their work spans from professional journalism to published fiction and poetry to fanfiction. They’re an avid fan of “The X-Files” (peep their other nickname—given by a dear friend) and everything weird/horrific/fantastical.

Vic will be hosting Scarlet Edit sessions for one on one feedback with attending writers, as well as making sure the day runs smoothly. Come say hi at AntiRanth 2026!
